UFO Challenge 2018 - Finished UFO's - Part 2

QQQ Team is having the annual UFO Challenge, where members sign up to finish their UFO's (UnFinished Objects), or at least some of their UFO's.

UFO Challenge 2018 - Finished UFO's - Part 1

QQQ Team is running the annual UFO challenge, where members sign up to finish their UFO's (UnFinished Objects), or at least some UFO's.

More than two months have passed since the deadline for signing up (April 30). Some members have been working hard on their UFO's and we already have some FINISHED UFO's!

QQQ Team's UFO Challenge 2018 - Entries

It's time again for the QQQ Team's UFO challenge!

Each year, the team has a UFO challenge. In quilting language, a UFO meas Un-Finised-Object. Many of us always have items that have been started but never finished for various reasons. They usually end up in the UFO basket and some are even forgotten for so the reappear several years later!


It is said the early beginning of the year is the best time to attack and finish these UFO, but this year the challenge starts a bit later.

Entries were accepted from April 1 to 31, 2018.
The 'fee' for participating in the UFO challenge is 1 (one) FQ (fat quarter) per UFO.



Entrants and number of UFO's:

This year we have 6 entrants with the total of 24 UFO's.

UFO Challenge - Finished UFO's - Part 5

QQQ Etsy team is having the annual UFO Challenge

UFO Challenge 2017 - Finished UFO's - Part 3

UFO Challenge 2017 - Finished UFO's - Part 2

QQQ Etsy team is having the annual UFO Challenge.
Eleven members have signed up for the challenge to finish their UFO's (or at least some UFO's) by the end of July. You can read more about the challenge here and the UFO Entries can be seen here.

QQQ Team's UFO Challenge 2017

It's again time for the QQQ team's UFO Challenge!

Each year, the team has a UFO challenge. In quilting language, a UFO means Un-Finished-Object. Many of us always have items that have been started but never finished for various reasons. They end up in the UFO-basket and some are even forgotten for so to reappear several years later!


The beginning of the year is always the best time to attack and finish these UFO's.
The 'fee' for participating in the challenge, is 1 FQ (fat quarter) per UFO.

VOTER'S CHOICE FOR THE UFO COMPETITION

And we have a winner!  There were a lot of votes for different quilts, we have very diverse likes and dislikes it seems, which is why quilting is such fun, so many different styles! But the overall voting went to Astrid from Red Needle Quilts, she has lots of wonderful quilts and her mug rugs are the talk of the team! Astrid lives in paradise in Mauritius and is a Team Leader and a very active member of our community, as well as helping out with this blog, a well deserved and popular win!  A pile of fat quarters will be winging their way to you Astrid..... I hope they don't get lost  on the long journey across the world!

UFO Challenge #1 2015

It's time to vote in the first QQQ Team UFO Challenge!



For the past 6 months the team members on the Etsy QQQ Team have been trying to finish various UFO's (unfinished quilts in this case!) some of which had been in cupboards or drawers for months or years for one reason or another. I think every quilter has a few UFOs hanging around. In my case I get distracted by other designs or fabrics I can't wait to have a go at and before you know it other quilts you have been working on get put to one side, sometimes forgotten! 
We had 70 entries to the competition, over half have been completed. Each entry, whether it was finished or not, paid a fat quarter entry fee. That's a lot of fat quarters!  They will be split in 2, one prize will be drawn from a hat with each finished entry going into the hat  and one of our leaders, the lovely Beverley from Adelaide in South Australia will draw a name. The 2nd winner will be the most popular vote, so do go and look at all the amazing entries, from bags to table runners to full size quilts, and pick your choice.
Everyone who entered is a winner in my book!
